The Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and new Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, given as the entirely sufficient expression of God's will for the salvation and spiritual development of all people, and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
The One True God
We believe in one God, Creator of everything that is; infinitely holy, perfect, just, and loving; eternally existing in three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, existing eternally as the divine Son of the Father, incarnated in human flesh through His conception by the Holy Spirit and birth to the Virgin Mary. He lived as the perfect Son of Man, the pattern of what God intends all men to be. He died on a cross as the entirely sufficient redemptive sacrifice for our sins, and was raised bodily from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He is now ascended into heaven where, seated at the right hand of the Father, He is our High Priest, Mediator, and Advocate.
The Holy Spirit
We believe Holy Spirit to be the fully personal and divine Third Person of the Godhead, whose present ministry in the world is to convict men of their sin, to regenerate repentant and believing sinners, and to indwell, guide, instruct, fill, and empower believers for godly living and service. All believers are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and thereby to manifest in their lives the fruit and the spiritual gifts He imparts.
The Fall of Man
We believe that man is created in the image of God and for the purpose of freely loving, honoring, and worshipping Him. Through deliberate sin man became alienated from his Creator, and is now thereby subject, as the just recompense of his rebellion, to the God-ordained penalty of eternal death.
The Salvation of Man
We believe that the only ground of salvation from the penalty and power of sin is the blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed for our redemption and justification, and which is fully and uniquely effective to cleanse us eternally from all unrighteousness. To all who receive Him as Savior and Lord, and only to these, is given the privilege of becoming children of God through being born again of the Holy Spirit. All who are thus saved inherit eternal life with Him.
Baptism
We believe that water baptism is the outward action, undertaken in obedience to the command of Christ, by which a believer gives personal, voluntary, and sincere testimony to "the answer of a good conscience toward God," to his new life in Christ, and to his total and complete commitment to and identification with Jesus Christ and His Church.
The Lord's Supper
We believe that the Lord's Supper is a time of fellowship with one another and with our risen and living Lord, in which we remember and celebrate His sacrifice on the cross to redeem us from our sins.
The Church
We believe that the true Church consists of all who, by believing in their hearts that Jesus Christ is the resurrected Son of God, and confessing Him with their mouths as the living Lord of their lives (Rom 10:9-10), have been born again by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit. It is only those who witness to this regeneration through public confession and water baptism who are eligible for membership in the local church.
The Final Things
We believe in the personal coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ to this world to claim the Church as His beloved Bride, and to establish His millennial kingdom upon the earth. In obedience to the express command of Christ, we live in daily anticipation of His imminent return.
